Why the circle?
Over the past 20 years of doing Helping His Kids, we see more organizations joining the cause to get toys to kids at Christmas, and we celebrate that! Therefore, as a church we feel called to focus on our local community and point people outside our community to places they can get assistance. Helping His Kids exists to show the love of Christ by giving parents and guardians a cost-free Christmas shopping experience. Guided by the biblical calling to love and help our neighbors, empowering them to choose the Christmas gifts for their children and present them how they wish.
History
Founded in 2006, the Helping His Kids Foundation has provided toys to thousands of children across Calloway and Marshall counties. Hosted by Hardin Baptist Church, the toy giveaway transitioned in 2025 to focus primarily on its surrounding ministry area of Hardin, South Marshall, and North Calloway. This strategic shift allows the foundation to deeply impact its primary community, while celebrating the growth of partner organizations that now serve the wider Murray and Calloway County regions. Over the past two decades, Helping His Kids’ impact also extends nationally, having provided ministerial outreach from Eastern Kentucky to the Native American tribal reservations in Arizona.
